Thursday, Oct 6, 2016

WHAT:  Goodwill is opening a new retail store in Redmond on January 19, 2017. Goodwill will close the Bellevue store on January 17, 2017. The current Bellevue location will remain open through January 16, with a brief closure of two days before the new store opens on January 19.

WHY: The Bellevue Goodwill store will be relocating less than a mile away to Redmond. Goodwill listened to customer feedback and the new store will have a larger sales floor and parking lot and more convenient donation drop off.

WHEN:  The doors will open on January 19, 2017 at 9:00 am.

  • The store will open 9:00 am and after the doors open there will be giveaway items for first 300 customers.
  • The merchandise assortment will appeal to both the budget and fashion conscious, with apparel for men, women and children, women’s accessories, and home and office décor items.
  • This is one of 24 Goodwill stores in the central and north Puget Sound region.
  • This location will be accepting donations from the community.
  • The Redmond store is 24,091 square feet which is 9,645 square feet larger than the current Bellevue sales floor.
  • The store will employ approximately 125 individuals.
  • Throughout Seattle Goodwill stores, over 100,000 new items are added daily to the hundreds of thousands of items already on our floors.  This means that customers will find a fresh and exciting assortment of fashion and décor items every day.
  • Customers who make purchases at Goodwill stores are supporting Goodwill’s free job training and education programs that help better the lives of people in the community.
