What are YOU doing next Thursday evening? Do you want to see one of the facilities where our students get the classes, support and job placement services that they need? On Thursday, June 19 from 5:30 – 7:30pm, we’re having an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony at our new and expanded Job Training & Education Center in South Everett!

The recent expansion added a third classroom to the facility which will allow that Job Training & Education Center to increase their enrollment per session from 120 students to 180. With increased student capacity comes increased number of lives changed, families benefitted, and communities strengthened. One significant new change with the upped capacity is the ability of our South Everett center to offer the in-demand GED courses.

Ed Roesbery is already a Seattle Goodwill student. He’s taken a number of classes that covered skills including customer service, cashier, and Microsoft Word—and now he’s excited to take our GED course to further his education. “I’ve tried to get my GED before,” Ed told us, “but the classes were always too big, too impersonal. It’s different at Goodwill. They care about me and my goals. They’ve given me confidence about my future.” We are excited to expand our services to more students like Ed—and further the impact of our programs in South Everett.

You’re invited to join us in this celebration. We’d love to show off our new and improved facility, and get to know you. We rely on donors and shoppers like you to support the free job training and educations that we provide to the greater north Puget Sound region. If you’d like to join us for this event, please call us to RSVP at (206) 726-5857.

We hope to see you there!

I used to enjoy shopping at your store until you would not give me cash back for a $30.00 purchase I paid in cash and always round up for your support, you're not a dept store where credit would be appreciated, I don't want to " have" to spend my money there, so I will pass this on to someone who can use it and won't be shooping there myself anymore!
