When it comes to jaw-dropping skyline views and Puget Sound vistas, you can’t beat the Bremerton Ferry ride. All the beauty is surprisingly budget-friendly—just $8 roundtrip to travel as a foot-passenger, and half-price for youth and seniors.

So grab your valentine and head to the Coleman Docks at Pier 52 (checking the WSDOT Ferry schedule first, of course).

Ferry Picnic
Make your ferry ride memorable with a delicious picnic. Do your picnic supplies need a refresh? Visit Goodwill to find your choice of large wicker baskets and picnic supplies. To really dress up the occasion, bring a tablecloth or placematsyou’ll find lots of options, ranging from cheery prints to elegant woven patterns.

With a full hour for your ferry ride, you’ll have time for relaxed meal. Think about bringing favorite picnic foods from home, your favorite local deli, or the Pike Place Market. Stock up on extra utensils, food storage containers and other supplies from Goodwill.

Enjoy your delectable picnic while watching the Seattle skyline recede, followed by expansive views of Puget Sound, including the emerald-green forested banks and waterside homes of South Bainbridge Island.

Exploring Historic Bremerton
After you dock, explore Bremerton’s revitalized downtown and arts districts. Within blocks, you’ll find three museums, numerous fine arts galleries and a wealth of public art. Not so much into the arts? Tour a famed naval destroyer from the Vietnam War, the USS Turner Joy, and check out the Puget Sound Navy Museum.

We also hear there’s a terrific thrift shop in Bremerton. Goodwill Bremerton can be reached by car, Lyft, or Kitsap Transit bus.

Ready for a pick-me up? Stop by the Fraiche Cup (close to the ferry terminal) and receive 20% off your purchase with this coupon.

Heading Home
Cap off your day with your return ferry trip. You and your valentine will gaze at an unparalleled view of the city skyline, from the Space Needle to downtown’s skyscrapers and the Great Wheel.

Bon voyage!
