Make the most out of your commute: Seattle

If you’re ready to declutter your Seattle home, it’s easy to donate items at Seattle Goodwill’s network of donation sites. Check out the sites below to find one that’s convenient for your commute or close to your ‘hood, and don’t forget to take a look at our donation guidelines. Let’s go:

If you live in Shoreline or near Seattle’s city border, take advantage of our Shoreline Donation Site, located at 15th Ave. NE and 145th St. This location is also home to a Goodwill Store and a Job Training and Education Center. Think about thrifting, then stopping off at Black Pearl for some takeout afterwards.

Headed to Northgate Mall? Our donation site is right across from the mall on 5th Ave. and 105th St.

North West
If you’re travelling to or through Ballard, you have two easy options for donation. Ballardites like to use 8th Avenue NW as an alternative to the more crowded 15th Ave—and there’s a Goodwill store and donation site right on the east side of the street, south of the intersection with 65th Street. If you live in the residential neighborhoods of NW Ballard—or travel through them to points north—you’ll find a handy donation location at the Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church parking lot on 85th St. NW (near 85th and 24th St.)

North East
If your commuting journey takes you to the U District instead, you can visit our donation site and store located right on University Way. Continue east to donate in Ravenna/Laurelhurst, on Union Bay Place off of NE 45th St.  If you have children in your life, consider stopping by the Ravenna Children’s Bargain Store for some fabulous finds, from clothing to toys, books, furniture and more.

You’ve crossed the Ship Canal–what’s next?

Heading to or from the city, commuters will find a donation site at Interbay’s Whole Foods and at another commuting hub, South Lake Union, right at 411 Westlake Ave. N.  If your commute takes you to or from Capitol Hill, you’ll find a popular Goodwill Store and donation site, convenient to both Denny and Olive—making it a great stop for the I-5-through-downtown commuter.

To drop-off items in the heart of town, visit our Seattle Donation Site and store on Lane Street not far from the major intersection of I-5 and I-90, and convenient to the International District and stadiums.
