With three weeks until Glitter Gala, our three fashion show stylist interns are hard at work putting together their segments to bring you an exciting show. And new this year, after the fashion show, the looks you see on the runway will be available for purchase at the After Party.

Last week on our blog, you met Heather Nyland, one of the stylists—this week, meet Trisha Jack.

Trisha is a Spokane native and came to Seattle to study Fashion Marketing at the Art Institute of Seattle. She’s now a senior, graduating at the end of this quarter, and excited to see her work on the runway at the Glitter Gala. “When you’re younger, you play dress up with Barbie—and that’s what this is like—except with a life-sized Barbie,” she mentioned, laughing. Some of her favorite designers include Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen, and Rick Owens. “In high school I was flipping through magazines, and saw Christian Dior’s fall line—and I fell in love.” Explaining that that was the spark that got her interested in fashion.

She spotted the internship position on a bulletin board—and decided to research Goodwill before applying. “I really liked the cause—the job training and education programs, and I decided I really wanted this internship. I think it’s cool that my designs will be auctioned off to help people! I really love that. I love that the outcome is really positive. I wanted to do something that would make a difference—and this is it.” Trisha is working on two segments for the Glitter Gala’s “In the City”-themed show: “Around the Water Cooler” and “Black Tie Elegance.” With two other stylists working on other segments of the show, she mentioned, “I’m excited to see it all together, because each intern has been working on their own segments. I’m excited to see how the story plays out at the end.”

Stick around after the show to purchase the Fashion Show runway looks at the After Party!
