Celebrating Halloween with local bloggers

Earlier this month, we hosted a gathering of Seattle bloggers at our South Lake Union store to kick off the Halloween season properly. Styled Seattle’s Darcy Camden and makeup artist Tiffany Lowry joined the party to put together costumes, and help the bloggers look their Halloween best—all with supplies from Seattle Goodwill.

Many of the bloggers took to the internet to share their experience and costume on their own blogs. Check out their work below:Image from Seattle Refined.

Seattle Refined: Goodwill showcases great Halloween costumes you can do yourself
Seattle Refined produced an excellent photo gallery from the night! Peruse the photos and get inspired for your Halloween costume! All of our stores, outlets excluded, have a mix of new and used goods that you can use to recreate these looks—or create something new!

The Demure Muse: Halloween costume idea: Snow White Princess and zombie form
Katrina from The Demure Muse was another one of the models at our Halloween party; she was Zombie Snow White. She also has an active giveaway for a $50 Seattle Goodwill gift card on her blog! Head over there and enter quickly, though—the giveaway ends tomorrow!

Diary of this Girl: May the force be with you
Megan from Diary of this Girl was one of the models at the event—and got dressed up as one of the most iconic Halloween costumes since the 1970s: Princess Leia. She’s got some great photos from the event, as well as some great takeaways and tips.

Northwest Blond: Be Your Own Monster
Ana from Northwest Blonde was clearly taking notes during the fashion show portion of the party! She has some great tips on how to hunt for Halloween costumes on her blog!

XOXO Blynn: Officially October
Blogger Breanna Lynn didn’t just stop at Halloween as she perused our South Lake Union store! In her blog, she talks about the blogger event—including the Serious Pie pizza that was there—and a gorgeous pair of Neiman Marcus earrings that she found.

Tiny Cup of Cake: Halloween costumes with Goodwill
Grace from Tiny Cup of Cake talks about her favorite looks—and how to recreate some of the makeup looks that were seen at the event. She also mentions our annual giveaways and costume contest—which are happening on our Facebook page right now!

Hello Rigby: DIY Flapper Costume
Jenn from Hello Rigby’s blog features her own creative ensemble—one not seen at the blogger event—but it was too good to skip! Jenn is a longtime friend of Goodwill, and you can see her in the photos from the event dressed as Maleficent.

Thank you, Serious Pie & Dianne’s Delights for providing some savory and sweet nosh for the event!

Once you’re done getting inspired by all of their blogs, check out our Halloween Costume Contest and giveaways! There are some awesome local prizes this year from some awesome local companies! Check it all out here: http://bit.ly/SGWCostumes
