A new shopping experience is hitting Seattle this weekend – the Urban Girls’ Garage Sale.

BYOBagsFree to attend, the sale will be held Sunday, March 17 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., at 1927 Events, 1927 3rd Ave, Seattle. VIP shopping is available for the early-bird from 9 - 11 a.m. – just be sure to purchase your $20 VIP ticket by March 16.

The Urban Girls’ Garage Sale is the brainchild of three local fashionistas – Zong Her, Seattle Army Reservist; Darnell Sue, founder of Girl Power Hour; and Darcy Camden, founder of Styled Seattle and resident stylist for King 5’s New Day Northwest. Wanting to trim their closets, but with no garages to use as selling space, the women realized a new solution was needed for urban girls looking to downsize. The Urban Girls’ Garage Sale was born.

The ultimate pop-up shopping extravaganza, the sale will feature over 40 local women selling stylish, high-quality goods for your closet and home. Trained stylists will be available to give shopping advice, a networking café will be set up for that much needed mid-shopping refuel, and DJ Jessie Beans will be spinning tunes. It sounds like the most fabulous garage sale ever.

Not only will you be able to find great pieces at even better prices at the Urban Girls’ Garage Sale, but a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Goodwill to help support our free job training and education programs. Sellers will also have the option to donate any items that don’t sell during the day to Goodwill.

Have stuff of your own you’re thinking about getting rid of? Consider donating it to Goodwill. Your donation truly makes a difference - the money we raise by selling your donated items helps support our job training programs, which are offered at no cost to those in the community facing barriers to employment. You can donate at 20 of our stores (excludes outlets), and we have 17 additional donation sites throughout the area.

Of course, even if you’re thinking about downsizing, it’s hard to resist a swanky, pop-up garage sale featuring multiple, stylish sellers. So stop by the Urban Girls’ Garage Sale Sunday and see what fabulous finds await!
