Celebrate Earth Day by bringing your gently-used items to Goodwill during our Earth Day Donation Drive, Saturday, April 20 – Sunday, April 21.

George GonzalezDonating to Goodwill not only helps the environment by keeping items out of landfills, but it also helps strengthen our community. Our job training and education programs are supported by the sale of your donations, and they are offered at no cost to those in the community facing barriers to employment. “Goodwill is available to everyone,” notes George Gonzalez, Goodwill case manager. “Whether you are an immigrant or a veteran just back from deployment, Goodwill is here to help you achieve your goals with job training and education.”

During the donation drive athletes from the Rat City Rollergirls and Seattle Sounders, as well as other local personalities, will be at our Dearborn store donation site at various times. Your donation can also qualify you to win the grand prize in our Earth Day Giveaway - two tickets to see Macklemore perform in Vancouver, B.C.! There are two ways to enter to win the grand prize:

  1. Take a photo of your donation before you leave for your local donation site, and tweet the photo with the hashtag #GoodwillEarthDay before midnight on Earth Day.
  2. Participate in any of our Giveaway contests, announced at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on our website and Facebook page. For each contest you enter you will receive a new entry into the grand prize drawing.

Be sure to join our Earth Day Giveaway event page on Facebook to receive notifications of new contests, and we hope to see you this weekend during our Earth Day Donation Drive!
