We want to hear from you!
Donors are a critical part of our mission. Please share your recent donation experiences with us by filling out our donor survey.
Goodwill has several policies for donating televisions, computer monitors, desktop computers and laptops:
Under a new program called E-Cycle Washington, Seattle Goodwill will collect televisions, computer monitors, desktop computers and laptops free of charge. The program has been a tremendous success! In January and February, Goodwill collected almost 1.5 million pounds of this electronic waste.
Televisions and monitors donated in good working order will be sold in our stores, and the net proceeds from these sales helps to support our free job training and education programs. Items that can’t be sold will be recycled.
At all stores (except University District and North Everett stores): All desktop computers, laptops, monitors and televisions will be collected regardless of size or age. Five of these items are allowed to be donated per person, per day.
At all Attended Donation Centers: Due to space constraints, only televisions that are 19 inches or smaller will be accepted. Monitors of any size, desktop computers and laptops will also be accepted. Three of these items are allowed to be donated per person, per day. Please note that Bainbridge and Poulsbo donation centers are not accepting any televisions, regardless of size.
Is your desktop computer or laptop five years old or newer and in good working order? Consider donating it to InterConnection, another non-profit organization based in Seattle that provides computers to low-income people in the community. Visit their web site at http://www.interconnection.org/, or reach them at 206-633-1517 for more information.

GOODWILL IS COMMITTED TO THE ENVIRONMENT
We strive to be a conscientious and environmentally aware partner in the community by recycling what we cannot sell, thus diverting tons of items from the landfill. Last year alone, Goodwill salvaged more than 11,000 tons, making us one of the largest recyclers in the region.
