Work Readiness

Our Work Readiness classes, workshops, and labs focus on helping adults develop and refresh their skills on a number of subjects that are highly valued in today’s workplace. Subjects include English for Speakers of Other Languages, math, computer skills, and more.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Classes 

Speakers of other languages can learn to speak, read and write English. Classes are designed for a range of skill levels, from pre-literacy to advanced. You can also take a citizenship class to help prepare for the US naturalization interview. Read more 


Computer Classes

If you don’t have much computer experience, you can learn keyboarding, how to use email and the internet, online job searching, and common computer programs like Word, Excel, and Outlook. Read more


High School Completion 

If you need your GED® or a high school diploma, Goodwill has two options to help you gain a high school completion credential. Build on and refresh your skills in language arts (reading/writing), math, science, and social studies or take a class to help you prepare for the GED® (General Education Development) tests. Goodwill can also help you choose and enroll in a High School 21+ Program, which allows colleges to grant high school diplomas to individuals that are 21 years or older. Read more

Get help and advice on how to search for work online, write a resume, and prepare for an interview. Job Search Skills classes help individuals best present themselves for the job search. Read more 


Workshops

If you aren’t sure if you need to take an entire class but would like to improve your education and skills, you can take one of our workshops, which are offered at our job training centers and at other community organizations. Topics include online job  search, teamwork and communication, paying for college, budgeting your money, and more. Read more


Drop-in Labs

Goodwill adult learners and community members can come to one of our drop-in lab sessions at our Job Training & Education centers to use computers, search for jobs, do homework, and use computer programs and software. Read more
