Career Pathways and Goodwill

For more information on the Career Pathways program, contact our Job Training Center (206) 860-5791

In order to help our students land middle-wage, middle-skill jobs that can support families, Goodwill’s newest program, Career Pathways, aims to build their basic skills, confidence and stability first at Goodwill, and then give them support as they transition to community or technical colleges.

Our students have multiple and significant barriers to employment and face more challenges to success in college, where support is not as readily available. In the Community College 101 class at Goodwill, students will create a career and training plan (including short and long-term goals). They will also learn effective study skills, how to enroll in the community college system, secure financial aid and many other useful skills.

The five and a half-week class is designed to finish before the next quarter begins in the community college system, allowing students to continue their studies immediately if they wish.
