FREE Job Training & Education!

Goodwill helps disadvantaged people achieve economic independence through programs designed to assist those with significant barriers to employment.

Looking for a job? Goodwill can help.

Goodwill offers free job-training and education programs and services to the public.  We also provide support services and assistance in finding a job.  Because jobs change lives.

Retail and Customer Service Training Program: Students receive a blend of retail-oriented training and Goodwill Works components, while also participating in two weeks of on-the-job training at a Goodwill store in order to prepare them for the retail industry.

Adult Basic Education: Participants have access to basic education classes, including English-language training, computer literacy, reading, writing, and other options designed to address gaps in their knowledge and better prepare them for the workplace.

Goodwill Works: This program addresses the “soft skills” that students need to find a job and keep a job. Soft skills are the skills, abilities and traits that pertain to personality, attitude and behavior. Goodwill Works components such as proper workplace behavior, timeliness and communication are incorporated into the Retail and Customer Service Training Program.

Case Management: Experienced case managers work with participants to access basic needs such as nutrition, healthcare and transportation, removing potential barriers to workplace success.

Job Placement and Retention: Goodwill’s employment specialists work with a network of businesses to place students in jobs after completing their training programs. Our staff also provides follow up services for one year after the students graduate to help them during the training-to-work transition.

All of these programs and services are offered free of charge thanks to Goodwill store sales, generous grants from corporations, businesses and foundations, and financial gifts from individuals.
