Sharon
Sharon overcame several major barriers in her life, including a drug addiction and a long period of unemployment, to succeed in our programs.
When Sharon enrolled at Goodwill, she was unsure we could help, based on her experiences with other organizations. But she excelled in our programs and gained the confidence she had been lacking during her eight years of unemployment.
Sharon so impressed the staff that she was offered an internship at Goodwill, which led to her being hired full-time as a case manager and a trainer in our Goodwill Works program. "I'm happier than I've ever been. I've always wanted to help people," Sharon said. "I love Goodwill."
