Holiday season is the perfect time to get crafty. And with the wealth of do-it-yourself supplies at Seattle Goodwill, it’s easy to affordably transform any room into a winter wonderland.

We have an abundance of holiday décor ranging from ornaments to decorative dishware and, of course, plenty of sweaters to make perfectly ugly for that weekend Christmas party.

Check out a few of DIY Gary’s latest creations using Goodwill items.

Ugly Christmas sweater

Supplies

  • Sweater
  • Glue gun
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Fuzz balls
  • Garland
  • Toys

STEP 1: Head to your local Goodwill and find a sweater that will work as the canvas for your DIY ugly Christmas sweater.

STEP 2: Find Goodwill’s holiday section to select what exactly you would like to put on your sweater.

STEP 3: Purchase a glue gun from Goodwill, heat it up and carefully begin applying glue to your supplies and arrange them on your sweater to create the perfect look. It’s that easy!

Decorative glass

Supplies

  • Drinking glass
  • Glue gun
  • Garland
  • Fuzz balls
  • Mini ornaments or bells

STEP 1: Head to the glassware section at your local Goodwill and find several glasses to decorate.

STEP 2: Find Goodwill’s holiday section to select what you would like to put on your festive glass.

STEP 3: Purchase a glue gun from Goodwill, heat it up and carefully glue your décor onto your drinking glass. Try to limit the amount of glue to make sure the decorative items cover up the adhesive. It’s that easy!
