12 Days of Holiday Blogs: Hanukkah Table Place Setting

December 4, 2018

There’s nothing that gets families scrambling to the dinner table quite like that special, traditional holiday recipe. So much care is put into making the dish, why not match the meal with a festive table place setting?

Whether you’re hosting a one-time dinner party or desire to customize a table setting that will standout all winter long, Seattle Goodwill has every item you need to make a statement during your holiday meals this season.

We recently spent 15 minutes browsing the aisles of our Seattle Dearborn store and crafted a Hanukkah-themed table setting. A little time spent setting the table will make your the Hanukkah feast more magical.

Check out how we put it together.

  1. We first headed to our holiday décor section to find some decorative accents in the traditional Hanukkah white and blue colors and found decorative balls, a snow globe and a beautiful menorah. A traditional Hanukkah table setting should always include a menorah, whether it’s real or simply painted on the table. We easily found all the items under five minutes.

  1. Next we went to kitchenware, and there was a huge selection of white and blue plates, and we found a great set of flatware. After that, we swung by collectibles and found stemware.

  1. Finally, we stopped by our candle aisle and found two new, large white candles and some beautiful blue candles that made a nice complement. A light blue tablecloth in our kitchen section was the final touch.

This table setting came together beautifully! No matter what holiday you are celebrating this season, you are sure to find all the décor you need at your local Goodwill.

And don’t forget to submit a recipe to our Holiday Recipe Contest. You could win a number of great prizes. And visit our blog tomorrow for more, great holiday DIY and décor ideas.
