March 26, 2020

Posted in: Community

I want to thank each and every one of you for your patience and flexibility as we face this very challenging time together, and assure you, that we remain committed to the health and safety of our entire Goodwill family. Every action we take prioritizes the well-being of our community.

In line with Governor Jay Inslee’s Stay-at-Home Order, Seattle Goodwill Leadership has made the following decisions:

1.       Effective March 25, 2020 at 5:30 pm, e-Commerce, Transportation, and remaining Donations operations will be suspended.

2.       All currently open donation centers will be closed.

3.       Closed stores and donation centers will remain closed for the duration of the order.

During this challenging time, our Job Training and Education (JTE) teams will continue to serve students and employees remotely, by providing essential resources, services and support. To learn more about the JTE support resources available to you, please reach out to your local Center:

King County:                      (737) 231-0074

Kitsap County:                   (206) 856-2103

Skagit County:                   (503) 468-6325

During this closure we have set up an employee Facebook Group that all Seattle Goodwill employees are welcome to join to stay informed and connected.

Seattle Goodwill will resume operations as soon as it is safe and wise to open our doors again. We will continue to closely monitor this situation, follow public health guidance, and update you as more information becomes available. I thank you for your resilience, patience, and steadfast commitment to our mission as we navigate our way through this challenge together.

We will get through this, and we will be stronger for it.

Daryl
