We are pleased to announce that we will be opening our Bremerton, Port Orchard, and Silverdale stores on June 4th at 10 am. We’re looking forward to welcoming you back and showing off all the great treasures we’ve collected.

Reopening our stores will allow us to financially sustain our mission to provide free job training, education and basic services to our neighbors in need. And they need us now, more than ever. You can learn more here about these important programs, all made possible because of your support.

Shopping and donating is a little different these days and we’ve implemented many new measures to maximize our community’s safety. We’re limiting the number of people allowed in our stores at any one time and asking all guests to wear face coverings. You’ll see that all Goodwill employees are making proper use of PPE for everyone’s safety. You may also notice that stores are laid out a little differently in order to provide wider aisles for proper physical distancing.

These are just a few of the many new steps we are taking to ensure everyone’s safety. For more detailed information about safety measures, cleaning procedures, and other changes you can expect, visit the new Shopping Safely at Seattle Goodwill Stores blog.

In the near future we hope to reopen additional stores in King, Skagit, Snohomish and Whatcom Counties and will do so as soon as it is safe. We’ll keep you posted through social media and our website. Check this page for updates on store openings throughout the north Puget Sound:

Our Bremerton, Port Orchard, and Silverdale stores will start collecting donations on June 11, one week after our store opens. We’ve created a no-contact drop-off process where donors are asked to unload presorted items from their vehicles and place them directly into labeled bins. Furniture and other large items will not be accepted at this time. We disinfect all donated items with an environmentally friendly, CDC-approved anti-viral cleaning agent, and put them into quarantine for three days before they are sorted, priced and readied for sale.

Through our closure and the many impacts this crisis has created, our commitment to support our community through our mission has been unwavering. Reopening our doors to shoppers allows us to offer new life for used goods—and helps us create new life opportunities, too—for individuals, families and ultimately the communities we serve.

Thank you for understanding as we continue to adapt and develop new processes to provide a comfortable place to work, shop, and learn. At Goodwill, our focused reopening plan is designed to serve our community in the safest way possible. We look forward to seeing you soon!
